Jobs still availableYou Can Still Find A Job
You probably have heard the news that there is a business slowdown in our economy. While there are signs of a slowdown you wouldn‘t know it by looking at the ads listed in our latest edition. There are also plenty of ’now hiring" signs still hanging up in retail stores all over the country. So there are still plenty of jobs to go around. Many of these jobs are entry-level positions, but even a job at a fast food restaurant or a retail store could lead to a management position if you set that as a goal and work at it. If you don‘t want to work at a fast food restaurant, we recommend you get some skills one way or another. A trade school or local college is a good place to get the job skills you‘ll need to compete in our new economy. An apprenticeship or on-the-job training are other ways to gain knowledge and skills. You have lots of options. The future will require MORE education for many careers, rather than less. Even people who are well established in a career will need to constantly update their skills with additional training. It‘s now a part of doing business in the new millennium. Meanwhile, you can use Minority Resources to find a job in your area. Find nearby advertisers and contact them about employment positions. Many of them are constantly hiring for numerous jobs needing a wide variety of skills and knowledge. Many of them offer ground floor opportunities requiring very little skills, just the desire to learn and work. Give some of them a try. You never know what job that you enjoy now may become your future career or profession.
