Customer Service Resume

What Service Companies are Looking for in a Resume

Customer Service Resume

What are service companies looking for in a resume? A service company is looking for someone who is trainable so they can train them in the ways and methods that their business does service. They are also looking for social people who are very good at listening to customers and help build customer confidence.

If you ever worked in a business, which requires good customer service then that is definitely something you will want to put on your resume. Believe it or not most service companies also like to see some team sports in high school and college on a resume and although this may not seem like something that belongs on a resume I would advise you to put it on your resume anyway, when looking for a service job.

Service companies are looking to see that you have worked for companies before who excel in customer service. For instance if you have ever worked as a kid or a teenager at Starbucks or McDonald's then a service company may look at that as a very positive thing, whereas someone in corporate America may dismiss that it is simply your first job.

If you have worked for other service companies for more than two years then other service companies like to see stuff like that on your resume as well. When going for an interview with the human resources director of a service company they want to make sure you are personable and listen. If you can do all that and have a great resume you are as good as hired.

So you want to be in Customer Service or even Customer Service Management? Well, do you have the skills? Do you have the guts? Do you have the gusto? Most importantly though - do you have the right ticket to winning that dreamy jackpot? Millions of people everyday take their chances at getting their dream jobs by sending resumes to different companies and then waiting for these companies to call them back for an interview. But landing your dream job is not a matter of pure chance - it also requires calculations.

It is a matter of realizing just how that single sheet of paper called your resume is your lone ticket to even being considered for the job. It is a matter of asking yourself, "Why would my prospective employer take the time to read my resume on top of millions of other hopeful job seekers?" The answer is not written in the stars; it should be right there on your resume. Your first real job is to come up with the best Customer Service Resume that you can. If you succeed at doing this, you will surely get that dream job. But how do you go about it? You may think it's about filling up your resume with information that will make you seem superhuman: endless lists of educational achievement, job experiences, affiliations, and character references.

Well, you should know that the secret is always in how you say it, not just what you say. Coming up with a winning Customer Service Resume is, quite again, not something you leave to chance but something you should really be working out for!
